Today we had our family birthday dinner to celebrate the January birthdays on my side of the family. Happy birthday this month to my mom, Scott, Nick, and Meghan. Here are Cassie and I celebrating.

Cole is on day three of missing school due to feeling sick. The poor kid needs to get on the mend soon.

#16-Jan. 16th

A friend of mine unexpectedly passed away this past week. I went to high school with him and his two sisters. He was such a bright light for many and it is so sad that his life was cut short at such a young age. I spent the evening with his sister preparing photo collages for the funeral.

#15-Jan-15th

So today was spent at work at Harley.  It was nice to be back there again helping the customers.  It really is a fun place to get to work.  Kati started back into her Kuk Sool Won, Korean martial arts, tonight.  She truly enjoys it.  Topped the evening off with my new favorite, gingerbread hot chocolate.  Dan got me hooked on them from IHOP so I had to learn to make my own.  I almost have the recipe perfected.

#14-Jan. 14th

So today I got to spend the day with a wonderful friend working on homework together.  We are both in the same school, but for different degrees.  It is nice to actually have a real study buddy after three years of feeling on my own with getting this degree.  Today I had to do a food photo shoot for class and she was able to hold up backgrounds and reflectors while I shot.  It made things go so much quicker, plus we got to chat while working.  :)

#13-Jan. 13th

Before leaving town Dan went by our house for a final look at the progress. Neither of us will probably see the house again until we drive down there in March to close and move in. I'm pretty excited.

#12-Jan. 12th

Kati has a love for painting nails. She will ask almost weekly to get to paint family members' toe and finger nails. Since it was too cold to venture out it seemed like a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
