I am working on interior lighting and architectural photography this week.  Here is a shot of our bar looking into the kitchen with one of my favorite paintings on the wall. :)

Cole is growing pumpkins for the fall.  He started with a dozen seeds that they planted in preschool.  He now has six plants growing strong.

I was just thrilled to find a line of dresses, skirts, and shirts that were named after ME!  :)  I got a skirt in my favorite colors-line green and dark brown!  

#116-April 26th

Today the weather was beautiful~65 degrees and sunny!  We have been waiting for this for so long, and since we are never sure how long it will last we spent the day outside.  I spent most of it either at the park or shooting photos for upcoming assignments. 

#115-April 25th

Well we finally got the answer we were waiting to hear~Dan is leaving for a year for Afghanistan in summer 2012.  We have just over a year before he is gone for a year.  I am not sure if the waiting makes it worse or better.  On the upside we have plenty of time to plan, something the military usually spares very little for us.  The kids and I will move back to Montana for the year he is away.

Cole is so SHARP!  That is what he told everyone at church today.  He is so proud of the new suit that his grandparents got him for his birthday.  He calls it his “Birthday Suit.”  Quite entertaining.

#113-April 23rd

Since Dan is leaving in the morning for three weeks TDY in Texas we had to have our Easter celebration a day early.  The kids had their egg hunt and we had a fabulous ham dinner that my mom prepared.  It was delicious!

#112-April 22nd

Dan and Kati just be two peas in a pod sometime.  He keeps trying to tell her she isn’t allowed to grow up and that she has to stay his little girl and live with him forever.  I just don’t think that will happen.  I just love the little moments like this though.  :)

#111-April 21st

My parents were able to come over to visit for the long holiday weekend~YEAH!  We love having them over and it is great that even though we have moved away we have been able to get back to Montana or they have come to visit every couple of months.  The kids were royally spoiled because Grandma even brought a dozen of their favorite cinnamon rolls from their favorite bakery that was just 6 blocks from our old house!

#110-April 20th

So thankful for our friends and neighbors!  Kim, who is both, gave me some batter from a new recipe she tried to make some yummy bran raisin muffins.  They were delicious!

The flooding here has just been getting worse and worse.  This is an image I captured of HWY 83 southbound heading from the base to Minot.  They have had to add sandbags to try to keep the water back and it isn’t helping that much.

We woke up to more snow today and more in the forecast.  I swear this place is going to float away.

#106-April 16th

Cole had his party today with his friends.  He had a blast.  Notice his lovely new band-aid on the chin.  On his birthday he fell up the stairs and cut his tongue and his chin.  Poor boy spent the evening just cuddled on the couch.

This is going northbound on highway 83, the road from the base to town.  It feels like you are driving through a lake.  Going southbound they are down to one lane because the water on the road.  It will only be getting worse too as we are suppose to have rain and snow off and on all week long.

Cole is four years old today!!!  He told me all he wanted to eat was cookies, brownies, and cupcakes.  I did let him indulge in some but only after eating stuff a little healthier.

The kids just love this cookie store in the downtown area.  I think its okay, but I truly miss the wonderful bakeries at home.  There isn’t a bakery in Minot at all.  I heard that one is underway and should open in about a month or so.  We are all counting down.

This is the shirt I got in Vegas a couple of years ago that I just love.  It is from a Toby Keith song.  He is going to be at the state fair in North Dakota this year.  Can we say pink cowgirl hat here I come.
